πŸ“š What Is Third Year Like? πŸ“š

Hi everyone!

Being 7 weeks into my third year of BA (Hons) Fine Art and Art History, I can confirm it is fairly stressful already! The scary β€˜dissertation’ word has been mentioned, along with lots of reading to do for various modules and trying to make artwork in the studio too! I thought I’d run through what a week in third year so far looks like for anyone who is wondering – I did one of these last year and it has changed quite a bit! The way the joint honours programme works can be a little confusing, but you definitely get used to the swing of it in no time.

πŸ‚ Enjoying Autumn in Plymouth πŸ‚

Hi everyone!

Since writing my last blog in September, it is now somehow November already?! The weather is getting colder, it is getting dark earlier, Halloween has been and Christmas is just around the corner! Third year is proving to be fairly busy and stressful at the moment, but at the weekends we’ve been making time to get out the house and enjoy ourselves! I told myself that, with it being my last year here in Plymouth, I would make the most of the beautiful location and get out to do lots of new things and explore new places! So far so good, so I thought I’d go through some of the things I’ve been getting up to.

Hi everyone!

I can’t believe that September and starting university again has already come around. I hope everyone had a great summer! I’ve just started my third year at Plymouth, and a few weeks ago I moved into a shared house with 6 other girls. It can sometimes be a bit tricky to adjust to being back in Plymouth at first, especially when you wake up in a completely new house with different people! It was so nice having a week or two to just adjust and settle into the house, so I thought I’d go through a few things we got up to!

πŸ’ What I'd Tell My Pre-University Self πŸ’

I was looking through my old photos and I found this panorama, taken of the Barbican on the day I moved to Plymouth. As September approaches, some of you will be reading this in the anticipation of moving to Plymouth and starting University soon. I remember that the weeks leading up to University were a big mix of nerves and excitement. Going on shopping trips to buy all the bits I needed, packing up all my stuff and seeing friends and family for the last time before moving away. It felt like a huge step, in an exciting way, but also in a quite daunting way.

βœ… Third Year Bucket List βœ…

Seeing lots of graduation pictures on Instagram made me so excited to graduate next year, but equally made me come to the scary realisation that in one year I will have finished my degree and will be entering the real world! With worries but also excitement about what to do next, I know already that I will miss being a student at Plymouth so much. I cannot believe how quickly these 2 years have gone by (I know everyone says it, but it genuinely feels like I moved to Plymouth yesterday), and I feel like I’ve achieved and experienced so many things which are memories that I will treasure forever. I want to make the most out of my last year here at Plymouth, so I thought I would make a list of things I want to make sure I do. Hopefully I’ll read this back next year and tick them all off!
