Being brought up in the city, I am used to trains and buses being packed with people always in a rush, no matter where you are. Once I knew that I wanted to go to university, I knew that I wanted to be outside of London. People don’t realise that β€œLondon” is a culture; you get so caught up with the lifestyle of moving fast, trying to keep up with trends, and with the lifestyle of what you should β€œbe” while living in London. Moving out of London to Plymouth was the best decision I have ever made.

Illuminate 2017

I had the opportunity to be on the VIP guest list for Illuminate 2017, which took part at Royal William Yard on 24th November. What is β€˜Illuminate’ you may ask?  Well it marks the anniversary of the sailing of the Mayflower for America, which set sail from Plymouth in 1620, which reached (the later named) Plymouth, Massachusetts. With the ties of both these places growing stronger each year, 2020 will be the 400th anniversary.
