Over the weekend my best friend, Alex, decided to come over to Plymouth for the day. I thought that I should take this opportunity to show him and myself around Plymouth, as I haven’t done so, since I have been here.
Picking him up just before midday, I showed him around town and making our first top to McDonalds for lunch, route we were going to take. We walked towards the Barbican, where we saw small businesses, the winding roads as well as the area and how it was overall; the cute cafes and overlooking the water with the sun glimmering down on it. Walking down the Barbican, we went past the aquarium and overlooking the water while we walked up past the coast, it was such a clear sky.
We went down to the water where we walked along the rocks and chilled by the water for a while before making our way past the lighthouse and saw families with their pets.
Eventually making way down to campus and showing him the SU which was quite busy because of the football match, then to my halls which was nearby.
Along with this we just stayed in my halls, as it started to pour down with rain, and got to socialise with my flatmates and friends where I wanted to take him to my last destination of our tour, Caffeine Club. I felt great that my friends at university and my best friend back home could get along, having a laugh, talk about similar interests as well have several card games one after the other.
Eventually it was time for Alex to go back to University, so my day has ended with how it started, a smile on my face till I next see him again.
I thought about how the weather was the next day and ever since I have been down in Plymouth, I could go out and take pictures of The Hoe like I have wanted to for such a long time, and grabbed the opportunity and went down there with some friends. It was nearly sunset and so the pictures which I got were incredible. It has made me appreciate the amount of chill days I can have down at The Hoe either by myself or some friends which made it so exciting.
