πŸŽ“ Why I Became A Student Ambassador πŸŽ“

After I got my place secured at Plymouth University, I received an email about being a student blogger. I thought that this would be a great way not only to share and document my experience as a student at the University of Plymouth, but also make use of my new laptop!   

As a student ambassador I represent the university, sharing my experiences within as well as outside university, such as pros and cons of university life, places I have been in Plymouth and what I get up to during the holidays. Being a student blogger gives me both a voice with the content I produce, as well as an excuse to do more things, such as cafΓ© hopping, visiting places in Plymouth as well as getting out of my comfort zone and sharing what I have gone through to help prospective students who may want to come to Plymouth in the new year.

Illuminate 2017

I had the opportunity to be on the VIP guest list for Illuminate 2017, which took part at Royal William Yard on 24th November. What is β€˜Illuminate’ you may ask?  Well it marks the anniversary of the sailing of the Mayflower for America, which set sail from Plymouth in 1620, which reached (the later named) Plymouth, Massachusetts. With the ties of both these places growing stronger each year, 2020 will be the 400th anniversary.

Looking back at this month, I found that this month was quite eventful at university. With the festivities coming up, everyone was in the Christmas spirit. As much as I love Christmas, I found that it does get a bit boring in my household, though I wouldn’t let that be the reason for me to not be in the spirit.
