I wont shy away from the fact that prior to my UCAS application, Plymouth was not my first choice. Many of my friends had their eyes set on larger city campuses far away from home, with some even considering university abroad! Before moving to Plymouth, I feared that I’d feel like a ‘small fish in a big pond’ – a little country-bumpkin like myself would get lost in such a big city! However it wasn’t long before I started to consider the ocean city as my own little home, and was able to find my place here with ease.
My first day moving into halls I was introduced to my new flatmates – one of the great things about living in halls is that there are Facebook group chats where you can meet people beforehand, so I didn’t have to worry about an awkward first meeting as we were already familiar with each other.
