Now that Freshers Week is over and actual university has begun, everyone has well and truly moved into their halls or flats. Now what can you do?

Well, with the large number of Sports Clubs and Societies on campus, there are plenty of non-drinking ways to have fun, or partial drinking ways, whichever you choose. These clubs normally meet weekly and are a must for the start of term, even if you just join your subject’s society. i.e CHEMsoc. This gives you an avenue to meet people from different years of your course and get to know what you should expect next year.

🏹 The Sporting Excellence of Archery

I thought I would write this blog post because Plymouth University Archers are not usually the most competitive archery club, and we don’t usually go anywhere with the expectation to win. Freshers: a summary of a very busy week

Freshers' week can be daunting for first years and I would be lying if I said I felt any different.

On my first day of induction I was if anything more lost than most; not being in halls for my first year meant that I didn’t have flat mates to rely on or to walk around the campus with and all around were groups of people who seemed to have settled in already. However like most students in the same position, all my nerves on the first day were for nothing as by the end of it I had made several acquaintances from my course and even a couple of friends.
