The Student Leadership Programme is hosted by the Council of Deans of Health and sponsored by the Burdett Trust for Nursing. It offers healthcare students the opportunity to learn about leadership, mix with established leaders, and apply their learning to practice. Each category was full of fantastic candidates, and the competition was fierce, especially as we’re all such close friends within the Student Leadership Programme. Only one of University of Plymouth student walked away with an award, and I’m so proud to display it in my home.

At the reception following the event, everyone commented on how successful University of Plymouth students have been throughout the Student Leadership Programme, and how many of us are always selected to attend. Plymouth has a great reputation within the programme, and it’s lovely to be able to bring back an award for my university.

The 2019 round of the Student Leadership Programme starts in March. Applications have now closed, but successful applicants will be notified soon! Good luck if you applied!
